What we are looking for:
Are you a visionary, enthusiastic researcher ready to drive change? We’re seeking an exceptional candidate to join our mission.
- Our dream candidate holds a PhD in Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or similar, with a strong experience and interest in biomass/ precision fermentation, downstream processing and bioprocess scale-up.
- In addition to your technical expertise, you’ll be a proactive team player and leader, capable of independent work.
- Proficiency in English (C1 level), flexibility for travel within Spain and the EU, and project management skills are essential.
- Experience in European and national funding call preparation is a plus.
- If you also have experience in bioprocess modeling and simulation, that’s even better!

Your Responsibilities:
As part of our team, you will:
- Plan, design, and execute experiments to develop, optimize, and scale up robust fermentation processes.
- Develop optimized culture media from agro-industrial byproducts, optimize bioprocess parameters and downstream processing for enhanced efficiency and productivity.
- Take a leading role in setting up our fermentation lab and pilot facility.
- Collaborate on diverse R&D projects related to microbial protein production, working closely with our research and technology partners.
- Assist in preparing funding proposals for both national and European initiatives.
